Animal-Trust-CenterÆ technology is an adoption of the well established public key-technology commonly used in authentication of people (see European directive 1999/93/EG concerning "digital signatures"). Applied to animal identification data including genetic fingerprints, animal identities achieve Independence, Uniqueness, Integrity and Authenticity. The Animal-Trust-CenterÆ, ATC, has been invented by Generatio and is covered by patent EP1091643.
