The Austrian, German and Swiss Societies for Biomedical Engineering cordially invite you to the BMT2025. This three-day conference offers deep insights into recent developments in biomedical engineering and provides a platform for scientific exchange. Please support us in shaping this interdisciplinary event by contributing state-of-the art applications of physics and engineering to challenges in medicine and biology.

We look forward to fruitful discussions among the participants based on keynotes, oral presentations, poster sessions and workshops as well as a dedicated exhibition with many well-known MedTech companies.

The location of Muttenz at the border triangle of France, Germany, and Switzerland is in direct vicinity to Basel with its cosmopolitan flair, guaranteeing an appealing social program and a setting for enthusiastic informal debates among scientists, engineers, and even local politicians.

Let us experience an inspiring conference.

Abstracts for Oral or Poster Presentation

Authors are invited to submit an abstract (1 page). The abstract will be peer-reviewed and if accepted will be published online as a supplement (with DOI) to the journal ‘Biomedical Engineering’ by de Gruyter in the regular volume. Published abstracts will be available online on the de Gruyter’s homepage (free access).

Please note that there is a possibility that abstracts submitted for oral presentation cannot be included in the conference programme. In this case, they will be considered as poster presentations.

Conference Papers

The conference papers are subjekt to a strict review and if accepted will be published online in the open access journal ‘Current Directions in Biomedical Engineering’ by de Gruyter. Accepted conference papers will be available online (with DOI each) on the de Gruyter’s homepage (free access).

Please note that the number of conference papers published is limited and not every paper will be published automatically. Deadline 31 March, 2025.
